Two commonly used methods for detecting the temperature of bearings in CNC lathes
During the operation of a CNC lathe, the control of bearing temperature is quite strict. This is mainly because the vibration and friction between lathe components generate heat, which leads to an increase in bearing temperature. When the temperature is too high, it will cause the bearing material to age, resulting in vibration and noise. This can cause the lathe to stop working. Therefore, we need to detect the bearing temperature and take timely cooling measures after it is too high. Today, our CNC lathe manufacturer will explain two commonly used methods for detecting the bearing temperature of CNC lathes.
1. Infrared thermometer method
Infrared thermometer is a non-contact temperature measurement tool with advantages such as speed, accuracy, and convenience. When in use, simply aim the infrared thermometer at the outer surface of the bearing to quickly read the temperature value. However, it should be noted that when using an infrared thermometer, a certain distance and angle should be maintained to avoid interference from other heat sources.
2. Temperature sensor method
The temperature sensor method is a more accurate and continuous temperature monitoring method. Common temperature sensors include thermocouples and thermistors. By installing sensors near the spindle bearings, real-time monitoring of temperature changes in the bearings can be achieved. Meanwhile, by connecting sensors with thermometers or control systems, continuous monitoring and recording of bearing temperature can be achieved.
The above are the two commonly used methods for detecting the bearing temperature of CNC lathes shared by our CNC lathe manufacturer. We hope that the above explanation can be helpful for everyone when using CNC lathes in the future.
