For the operation of CNC lathes, the lubrication system is a very important component. It plays an irreplaceable role in protecting the stability of the machine, improving the accuracy of machining components, and extending the service life of the lathe. If there is a problem with the lubrication system during operation, it is a very serious malfunction. At this time, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection. Today, our CNC lathe manufacturer will explain to you the three main reasons for the failure of the lubrication system in CNC lathes.
1. Overload detection uses overload protection components in the power supply circuit of the lubrication pump, and its thermal overload contacts are used as input signals for the PMC system. Once the lubrication pump experiences overload, the PMC system can detect and handle it, causing the machine tool to immediately stop running.
2. Oil level detection: Lubricating oil is a consumable, so after the machine tool works for a period of time, the lubricating oil in the lubrication pump oil tank will gradually decrease. If the operator fails to add lubricant in a timely manner, when the lubricating oil in the tank reaches the lowest level, the oil level detection switch will immediately activate and transmit this signal to the PMC system for processing.
3. The pressure detection machine adopts a progressive centralized lubrication system, and as long as the system works normally, each lubrication point can ensure that the predetermined lubricant is obtained. Once the lubrication pump itself is not working properly or fails, or if there is a blockage or oil leakage in the oil supply circuit, the pressure in the system will show abnormalities. Based on this characteristic, a pressure detection switch is installed at the outlet of the lubrication pump during design, and the signal from this switch is input into the PMC system. After each lubrication pump operation, the pressure inside the system is checked. If any abnormalities are found, the CNC lathe operation is immediately stopped and an alarm signal is generated.
The above are the three major reasons for the failure of lubrication systems in CNC lathes compiled and released by CNC lathe manufacturers. We hope that the above explanation can be helpful for everyone when using CNC lathes in the future.
