Three major causes of high-frequency vibration in CNC lathes
During the operation of a CNC lathe, vibration is a very normal phenomenon, but high-frequency vibration is not a normal phenomenon. It has a certain impact on machining accuracy and efficiency, and high-frequency vibration also significantly damages the service life of the lathe itself. Today, CNC lathe manufacturer Haishu Machinery will explain to you the three major reasons for high-frequency vibration of CNC lathes.
(1) The shape of the workpiece is messy and the selection of clamping parts is not appropriate: the workpiece has an irregular shape structure, no good reference surface, inconvenient clamping, the workpiece is not tightly clamped, and it easily loosens during processing, causing corresponding oscillations with changes in cutting force.
(2) Uneven internal organization of the workpiece: there are defects such as pores, sand holes, and looseness in some parts of the cast blank, and the grains are coarse or contain impurities. Uneven hardness of castings and uneven force on cutting tools during cutting can cause unstable cutting force, which can easily cause a sensation in the CNC lathe and sometimes lead to tool cutting, making it difficult to control the machining quality of the workpiece.
(3) Unreasonable tool selection: Inappropriate tool body information and poor rigidity are one of the primary causes of oscillation. If the wrong tool is selected, it can sometimes increase tool wear or cause chip lumps, rough surface of the workpiece, or oscillation caused by cutting, which can affect product quality.
The above are the three main reasons for high-frequency vibration of CNC lathes. I hope the above explanation can be helpful for everyone when using CNC lathes in the future.
