In the current CNC lathe industry, lathe programs are mostly built-in and can be completed by simply changing the parameters and accessories. Manual programming is still rare, but in terms of equipment flexibility and accuracy, manual programming still has great advantages. Today, CNC lathe manufacturers will explain the three major technical points of manual programming for CNC lathes
1. Clamp the blank parts, extend the chuck length by 55mm, turn the end face, and clamp in the way shown in Figure 3. Step 2: Process the right end of the part with the tool path shown as O-A in Figure 3. The contour shape changes monotonically. Use G71 and G70 instructions for programming to complete the rough and fine machining of the right end contour of the workpiece to the required size. Step 3: Turn around and clamp, as shown in Figure 4. Process the left end of the part, clamp the outer circle with a diameter of 43, and ensure that the total length of the part is 113mm on the left end face of the car. Step 4: The cutting path is shown as O-B in Figure 4, and the contour of the part does not increase monotonically. G71 and G70 instructions are used for programming, and macro programs are used to machine the elliptical surface, completing the rough and fine machining of the left end contour of the workpiece to the required size. Step 5: Cut the thread and return the groove 5 × 2.5 to the required size. Step 6: Roughly and precisely machine the threads to the required size.
2. Choose a cutting tool
According to the process analysis of the part drawing, in order to prevent overcutting during the machining of elliptical surfaces, the negative deviation angle of the selected outer circular turning tool should be greater than 30 °. In addition, considering the strength of the blade, a 55 ° layer blade with a tool tip arc radius of 0.2mm is selected for rough and fine machining; Groove cutter, blade width 4mm, length 20mm; Select a 60 ° thread cutter based on the thread shape and pitch size.
3. Program segment with elliptical contour
In the standard equation of an ellipse, the starting point Z value is 12, # 1=24 * SQRT [30 * 30-12 * 12]/30, and # 1 represents the X value. In the programming coordinate system, the value of X can be represented as 2 * [50- # 1]. Let # 2=2 * [50- # 1], then the starting point coordinates of the ellipse are (# 2, -45). The following is the program segment for elliptical contours.
The above are the three key technical points for manual programming of CNC lathes compiled by CNC lathe manufacturers. We hope that the above explanation can be helpful for everyone when using manual programming of CNC lathes in the future.
