The power transmission system plays a very important role in the process of CNC lathe movement. There are strict requirements for both power transmission efficiency and power transmission mode. Power loss not only causes unnecessary energy waste but also reduces the working efficiency of CNC lathes. Today, our CNC lathe manufacturer will explain the difference between surface forming motion and auxiliary motion in the transmission mode of CNC lathes.
1、 Surface forming motion:
1. Directly participate in the cutting process to make it on the workpiece. The relative motion between the cutting tool and the workpiece that forms a fixed surface shape is called surface forming motion.
2. Surface forming motion is a machine tool. Basic movements have a direct impact on the accuracy and roughness of the processed surface. The form and number of surface forming movements during various machine tool machining depend on the shape of the machined surface, as well as the machining method and tool structure used.
3. The structure of the machine tool varies depending on the allocation of motion. The lathe indicates that even if the same surface is machined using the same process, there may still be multiple structural types.
4. According to the different roles played during the cutting process, surface forming motion can be divided into main motion and feed motion. The main motion is to directly cut off the cutting layer on the workpiece and transform it into the main motion of chips. The main movement speed is high and consumes a lot of power.
5. Feed motion is the movement of continuously putting the cutting layer into cutting to gradually cut out the entire surface of the workpiece. The feed motion has a lower speed and consumes less power. There is usually only one main motion, but the feed motion may have one or several, or it may not.
6. The forms of main motion or feed motion include both rotational motion and linear motion, while feed motion includes both continuous motion and intermittent motion. The unit of rotation main motion speed is mostly r/min. The linear main motion speed is double stroke/min; The feed motion speed is commonly expressed in the following units: mm/r, mm/min, mm/double stroke.
2、 Auxiliary motion: All motions on a CNC lathe, except for surface forming motions, are auxiliary motions. Its function is to achieve auxiliary actions during the machining process of the machine tool. For example, cutting in, fast forward, fast backward, adjusting position, dividing motion, etc. In addition, the starting, stopping, shifting, reversing of machine tools, as well as the control movements of clamping and releasing components and workpieces, all belong to auxiliary movements.
The above is the difference between surface forming motion and auxiliary motion in the transmission mode of CNC lathes compiled and released by CNC lathe manufacturers. We hope that the above explanation can be helpful for everyone when using CNC lathes in the future.
