Nine reasons for tool collision caused by CNC lathes
The phenomenon of tool collision is still a common fault during the operation of CNC lathes, also known as the tool collision phenomenon. The main reason for this phenomenon is the problem of program control, which leads to concurrent execution of multiple program cutting tool controls. Today, our CNC lathe manufacturer will mainly analyze the nine major reasons for tool collision in CNC lathes.
(1) Programming errors
Process arrangement errors, inadequate consideration of process succession relationships, and incorrect parameter settings.
Example: A. The coordinates are set to zero at the base, but in reality, the top is set to zero;
B. The safety height is too low, resulting in the tool not being able to fully lift out of the workpiece;
C. The second rough opening has less margin than the previous one;
D. After completing the program, the path of the program should be analyzed and checked;
(2) Error in program notes
Example: A. Write the one-sided collision number as a quadrilateral;
B. The clamping distance of the vise or the protrusion distance of the workpiece is marked incorrectly;
C. When the length of the tool extension is unclear or incorrect, it may cause the tool to collide;
D. The program list should be as detailed as possible;
E. The principle of replacing old with new should be adopted when setting changes to the program list: destroy the old program list.
(3) Tool measurement error
Example: A. The input of tool alignment data did not take into account the tool alignment rod;
B. The tool installation is too short;
C. Scientific methods should be used for tool measurement, and more accurate instruments should be used as much as possible;
D. The length of the blade should be 2-5mm longer than the actual depth.
(4) Program transmission error
Program number call error or program modification, but still using old program for processing;
On site processors must check the detailed data of the program before processing;
For example, the time and date of program writing, and simulating it with the Bear Clan.
(5) Wrong knife selection
(6) The blank exceeds expectations and is too large to match the blank set in the program
(7) The workpiece material itself has defects or high hardness
(8) The clamping factor and interference of the cushion block were not considered in the program
(9) CNC machining center, CNC machine tool failure, sudden power outage, lightning strike causing tool collision, etc
The above are the nine reasons for tool collision caused by CNC lathes compiled and released by CNC lathe manufacturers. We hope that the above explanation can be helpful for everyone in dealing with tool collision in the future.
