For CNC lathes, there are certain standard requirements for the clearance between the spindles. If it is too wide or too narrow, it can cause certain safety hazards to the operation of the lathe.
However, there must be some experience to support the operation of the spindle clearance, mainly because it is generally not necessary to stop the machine when operating the spindle clearance
The
requirements for operators are very high. Today, our CNC lathe manufacturer will explain the basic operating steps for spindle clearance adjustment.
The main shaft is a hollow stepped shaft, which
passes through the steel rod when using long bar material at the inner hole position and unloading the top. It can also be used for pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic clamping device mechanisms.
The taper hole of the front axle of the main shaft is 90mm, used for installing the top and front top points. Sometimes a spindle can also be installed, using the friction force matched by the cone
to directly drive the spindle and workpiece to rotate. The cone hole at the rear end of the spindle is the process hole.
For the clearance adjustment operation between the spindle of a CNC lathe, we
can roughly follow the following steps:
① Loosen the locking screw on the front nut first.
② Tighten the adjustment nut and move the inner ring to the right of the spindle cone. As the bearing
inner ring is thin and the inner hole is the same as the spindle cone, it has a 112 ° taper. Therefore, while the inner ring moves axially, it undergoes radial elastic expansion to adjust the
radial clearance or preload of the bearing. After the adjustment is completed, the screws on the nut are locked tightly.
The allowable deviation for radial and glaze runout of the main shaft is
00imrrJ. The radial runout of the CNC lathe spindle directly affects the roundness and concentricity of the machining surface, while the axial runout affects the flatness and pitch accuracy of the
machining end face. When the spindle runout exceeds the allowable value, simply adjust the front support clearance appropriately to adjust the spindle runout quantifier to within the allowable
value. If the radial runout does not meet the requirements, the rear bearing should be adjusted.
The front and rear supports of the CNC lathe spindle are lubricated by a lubricating oil pump, which
provides sufficient lubrication to the bearings through the oil inlet hole. At the same time, the heat generated by the bearings during operation is taken away. To avoid oil displacement, an oil
groove sealing mode is adopted at the front and rear support positions, with serrated circular grooves on the outer surface of the front nut and rear support sleeve. When the spindle of the CNC
lathe rotates, due to centrifugal force, the oil will be thrown along the inclined plane (towards the box) into the oil groove of the flange plate. The oil will flow through the return hole to the
bottom of the box, and then back to the oil pool in the left bed leg.
The above is the basic operation steps for spindle clearance adjustment explained by CNC lathe manufacturer Haishu Machinery,
hoping to be helpful for everyone in operating CNC lathes in the future.
